SCHOOL DATA SYSTEMS
Data collection is a large component of the PASS initiative and Matawa schools are currently using assessments to determine where students are academically and how they are progressing.
Schools are using a school data collection system, OUTCOMES from Dadavan Inc. Matawa Education Department Database Coordinator provides first level service to Administrative Assistants through the Matawa Education Information Technology Helpdesk system. Support is provided through screen sharing applications, secured remote access, and scheduled on-site visits.
The Education IT team visits each community school with the objective to improve technology needs and service relationships. Education IT has the responsibility to maintain school servers, wireless and computer systems connected to the student information system.
The IT staff at Matawa, consisting of Jordan Sturgeon, Arthur Oshkineegish, and Wayne Sajna-Hebert, have been working on updating and maintaining the IT infrastructure in all schools.
