In the fall of 2006, the Matawa Education Department in partnership with Matawa Employment and Training (MET) opened the “Sacred Fire Resource Centre” (SFRC) to provide Matawa clients, students, and education professionals with access to resources and services. The SFRC is fully equipped with new computers with printer and internet access. Visitors to the SFRC can conduct research, surf the web, or type their resume. For Educators, the SFRC currently houses several educational resources with the hopes of setting up an education database.
